Abdellah leads McKinsey’s Business Building Practice across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He advises leading conglomerates, investors, and consumer companies on large-scale value creation, with a focus on building and scaling new ventures and transforming core businesses through digital and AI.
Examples of his recent client work include:
- supporting the launch and scaling of several high-impact businesses across the region and globally, including one of the largest e-grocery platforms operating across multiple markets, a retail media and AdTech platform, and a buy-now-pay-later offering for a major retailer
- leading the development of digital platforms designed to transform traditional trade and enable new business models in consumer sectors
- advising organizations on AI-led transformations, helping them unlock value across merchandising, pricing, promotions, and end-to-end commercial functions
- helping scale AI-first native players globally, including those specializing in agentic AI
In addition to his client work, Abdellah is a recognized thought leader in the consumer and business building space, contributing to research and publications in the region. Prior to joining McKinsey, he worked in financial markets, focusing on complex product structuring.
