Akshay is a senior partner at McKinsey’s Chicago office, where he serves leading organizations on strategy, M&A, growth, and performance transformations. For over 20 years, Akshay has served clients across healthcare (including payers, pharmacy, and providers), insurance, private equity, and investor-backed technology and services sectors. Among his clients are large publicly traded, private capital, and mutual corporations.
Akshay is a leader in McKinsey’s Strategy & Corporate Finance Practice. He works with CEOs, chief strategy officers, and boards on strategy formulation and execution, M&A, and transformations across growth, operational, and organizational topics. He also brings deep expertise in AI to the table.
Additionally, Akshay leads McKinsey’s Growth, Marketing & Sales Practice capabilities across social, healthcare, and public sector entities. Within healthcare, he is a prominent voice on commercial payer and employer-sponsored markets.
Outside McKinsey, Akshay is an active member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
