Andrew is a senior partner in McKinsey’s Toronto office and the chair of our Shareholders Council. He has been with the firm for more than 25 years, advising leading global organizations across banking, technology, telecommunications, retail, and the public sector on corporate strategy, including enabling growth, operational improvements, and cost transformation, as well as digital transformations, artificial intelligence, and customer and client experience.
Andrew has held several senior leadership roles at McKinsey, including managing partner of the Canadian practice and global leader of the Public Sector Practice. Additionally, Andrew has coled McKinsey’s research on public sector leadership and Canadian economic growth, driving actionable insights for stakeholders to improve competition and productivity.
Examples of Andrew’s recent client experience include:
- assisting a leading global financial services player on its AI strategy, including vision and ambition, the stand-up of an enterprise AI center of excellence
- partnering with a telco on the deployment of agentic care to improve customer experience and reduce costs
- supporting a leading financial services institution define its next-generation distribution model, including the use of AI and remote advice channels
- partnering with a global bank on merger integration and growth strategy
- helping redesign the delivery of key governmental service journeys by deploying digital and analytic tools and standing up new agile ways of working
- supporting the stand-up of a new investment attraction agency
- building a product platform and agile organization for a financial services player needing to digitize key banking journeys
- architecting a net promoter score improvement road map for a telco to mitigate churn and improve customer loyalty
- partnering with a retailer on its analytics and AI road map across supply chain, store operations, merchandising, and personalization
- driving a multiyear sales transformation for a cable company to deliver $1 billion in incremental annual revenue in its key channels.
Andrew sits on the board of directors for Right to Play, a global not-for-profit organization that uses play to empower vulnerable children to overcome the effects of war, poverty, and disease. Previously, Andrew served as chair of the board of trustees for the United Way Greater Toronto. In his free time, Andrew enjoys exploring the Canadian wilderness with his family.
