Asilah serves as the Co-Managing Partner of McKinsey & Company’s Singapore Office.

Her work as a Financial Services and Institutional Investor leader focuses on large-scale transformation, tech-enabled change, and operating model redesign. She has led complex programs for insurers, asset managers, sovereign investors, and financial institutions across the US and Asia.

With a proven track record, Asilah brings global transformation expertise across complex regulatory engagement, senior stakeholder alignment, and accelerated business build-outs across the insurance, banking, and asset management sectors.

Examples of Asilah’s recent client work include:

  • Leading operating model transformations across banking, insurance, and asset management institutions, including change journeys, frontline adoption, and operating model redesign for a global financial institution’s retail and wealth divisions

  • Designing a target operating model across businesses and shared services for a US-based global property and casualty insurer, aligning governance, roles, and decision rights across its multi-line businesses
  • Leading the artificial intelligence transformation strategy and blueprint for an Asian life and health insurer across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, detailing an execution roadmap with the investment, talent, and technology/data capabilities required
  • Partnering with a leading Asian financial regulator across multiple strategic topics, including artificial intelligence-enabled workforce transformation, innovation agendas, and ecosystem enablement
  • Advising one of the largest asset managers in the US on enterprise-wide strategy, operating model, and modern delivery concepts
  • Collaborating with Asian sovereign wealth and institutional investors on investment operating model, benchmarking, and transformation priorities
  • Delivering a disruptive growth strategy for a regional financial institution, bringing a distinctive client experience from concept to implementation and supporting the subsequent greenfield build of a digital business
  • Founding and curating McKinsey’s “Shapers of Sustainability” series, a global knowledge platform co-created with leaders from top banks, philanthropic institutions, and real-economy players to elevate climate leadership and action

Outside of work, Asilah cherishes time with her husband and two children, often exploring the outdoors, where she finds renewal and inspiration.
