Christoph is where the data and analytics is. In his various leadership roles for McKinsey Analytics, the Data Transformation Practice, and QuantumBlack Germany, Christoph focuses on the development, setup, and execution of large digital, data and analytics transformations. Given his extensive knowledge on advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), IT and data architecture, and operating models, he has realized numerous cross-industrial digital-, data- and analytics-driven transformation programs. His main industry focus areas are Global Energy and Materials (GEM) and MedTech.

Christoph speaks digital and business. He combines his practical knowledge of digital, data, and analytics with significant executive leadership and change management experience into a unique profile. Recent projects Christoph has guided to a successful outcome demonstrate both the breadth and depth of his expertise:

  • Leading the setup of the digital transformation for a European transmission system operator
  • Leading the data strategy and IT Transformation for a Generation company
  • Leading an initiative on applying AI in the context of the energy grid
  • Developing and designing the global data and AI strategy for a global MedTech company
  • Leading the setup of the enterprise data management office and data governance program for a global oil and gas company
  • Defining, creating, and executing a data governance strategy for a German utility company
  • Piloting a business-led data governance program for a premium automotive company
  • Serving as interim CTO for a leading European utility company and building a digital business
  • Defining and implementing the data strategy and leadership design for a global MedTech company as an integral part of a digital transformation
  • Developing a data strategy and helping build a data lab for a large European telco
  • Defining the overall data and analytics strategy and organization design for one of the largest European retail banks
  • Identifying and evaluating IoT use cases for new service models and revenue streams
Before joining McKinsey, Christoph worked with SAS Institute, a global software and services company in the big data and AI space, where he held several senior and executive management positions. For more than ten years, Christoph also provided guest lectures for knowledge management and business analytics at the Cologne University of Applied Science.
