Dago is a senior partner in McKinsey’s Düsseldorf office and is global coleader of the Strategy & Corporate Finance Practice, where he also leads our global business-strategy work. Over the past 19 years, he has partnered with leading organizations across industries and geographies to shape corporate strategy, drive large-scale transformations, and deliver sustained performance improvements. He has advised clients on pivotal moments of change, from portfolio restructuring to entering new markets, and has guided many high-profile capital-markets transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, and IPOs.

Examples of Dago’s recent client projects include the following:

  • leading numerous board-level strategy programs and supporting CEOs and leadership teams in defining long-term growth trajectories
  • directing McKinsey’s Trends & Global Forces research initiative, identifying macroeconomic and disruptive trends that shape industries worldwide
  • partnering with clients across industries, e.g., with energy, materials, automotive, industrials, and consumer goods companies to navigate shifts in technology, regulation, and sustainability
  • providing strategic advice on major capital-markets transactions, including IPOs, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures

Before joining McKinsey in 2007, Dago worked for several years in corporate finance consulting and international M&A, where he gained deep expertise in deal structuring and execution.
