Daniele Chiarella is senior partner and managing director of McKinsey in France.
Daniele has extensive expertise in the banking and financial sectors. He supports financial institutions, private capital funds, and European industrial groups. He has led several practices at McKinsey, including the Real Estate practice at a European level and the Corporate and Investment Banking practice at a global level.
Recent client engagements include advising multiple leading European banking firms on strategy, organizational restructuring, and business process reviews. Daniele, who is a Chartered Financial Analyst, has worked with several universal and global investment banks on wholesale banking strategy and implementation in the capital markets, investment banking and securities services business units (both front and back office). He has also worked with several major European and global banks in defining and implementing liquidity strategy, liquidity policy and treasury organization, and with a major European bank in reviewing and implementing new funds-transfer pricing, funding plan and monitoring tools.
Daniele is also involved in topics ranging from European competitiveness to adapting human capital to the challenges of generative AI and AI agents. On this latest endeavor, he is particularly committed to rolling out large-scale skills enrichment programs within companies.
Daniele has worked for 5 years with Deutsche Bank before joining McKinsey in 1998. He has been based in several European offices : Milan, Frankfurt, London, Zurich, and finally Paris since October 2025.
