Ishaan is global coleader of our Strategy & Corporate Finance Practice and a leader in the Financial Services Practice with a focus on banking and securities. He serves a range of clients that include retail and investment banks, wealth managers, private-equity investors, and financial technology providers. His client service spans strategy, corporate finance, digital and analytics, cost transformation, and M&A. In addition to broad operational improvement programs, Ishaan has worked with numerous CEOs, CFOs, and boards on a wide range of value-creation efforts, across strategy diagnostics, strategy formulation, investor narratives and communications, and strategy implementation.

Ishaan formerly led McKinsey's CFO work globally, counseling CFOs on their roles, the finance function, portfolio strategy, and organizational issues. Beyond his core financial-services clients, he has served over 50 CFOs across a range of industries, including technology, information services, retail, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare. In a prior role, Ishaan also helped establish and lead McKinsey's Private Equity & Principal Investors Practice, which serves investors across a broad spectrum of diligence, portfolio, and turnaround issues. He also formerly led McKinsey's overall recruiting efforts in North America.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Ishaan worked in investment banking for Morgan Stanley in New York and London. Ishaan has also spent time with UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees) and serves on the board of trustees of the Dalton School in New York City.

Ishaan graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with an bachelor’s in history and holds an MBA with high distinction as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School. He lives in New York City with his wife and two daughters.
