Jan leads McKinsey’s work on manufacturing and supply chain. He works with industrial and consumer-facing companies on end-to-end performance improvement, with a particular focus on optimizing planning processes and digitizing supply-chain and logistics operations.

Jan has extensive experience in end-to-end manufacturing and supply-chain transformations across industrial and consumer-facing sectors. Recent examples of his client work include the following:

  • working with industrial companies in multiple sectors to digitize their manufacturing and supply-chain operations, including planning and performance management, inbound and outbound supply-chain optimization, and manufacturing-footprint optimization
  • advising multinational consumer-packaged-goods companies on strategies to optimize their operations across Asia–Pacific, including enhancing supply-chain planning with advanced analytics and optimizing distribution networks across multiple markets to reduce cost and increase service levels
  • working with courier, express, and parcel providers in both Europe and Asia on e-commerce logistics, including optimizing networks, infrastructure, and processes to improve delivery speed, reliability, and service
  • advising on new business-building strategies for the supply chain and logistics across Asia, including designing market-entry strategies and defining service portfolios and scale-up plans
