Ken is a distinguished partner in McKinsey’s Brussels office and one of the firm’s foremost experts on industrial productivity, energy systems, and industrial sustainability. For more than two decades, he has helped the world’s leading industrial companies make their machines, energy systems, and processes dramatically more productive—and decarbonized while staying competitive—combining deep technical and scientific expertise with advanced analytics to increase economic and environmental value.
Ken founded McKinsey’s energy-efficiency work, helping build the analytical foundations of its global operations analytics, and leading the firm’s approach to energy system optimization. He has invented new industrial processes—holding several patents in industrial process technology—and works at the frontier of applying AI to industrial innovation, decarbonization, and capital projects.
He is the author of Unlocking Industrial Resource Productivity and a frequent contributor to the McKinsey Quarterly and industry forums on industrial decarbonization, energy, and manufacturing productivity.
