A partner in McKinsey’s Washington, DC, office, Maisha brings over 25 years of experience in organizational performance, business operations, large-scale transformations, and digital talent strategy. Since joining McKinsey in 2023, she has been a leader in the People & Organizational Performance Practice and a core member of the firm’s Social Sector, Healthcare, & Public Sector Entities Practice, where she focuses on driving transformations for clients in the defense and security sectors.

Before McKinsey, Maisha served as a global P&L executive and technology general manager. Most recently, she was executive vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she led a national security space and defense practice, specializing in space, next-generation technology, and the digital workforce. She has also held senior growth and strategy roles at leading US defense and national security technology companies.

A recognized thought leader, Maisha frequently speaks at industry conferences on topics such as the future of work and digital talent. She has contributed to several business publications and serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern Virginia Technology Council.

Maisha’s career spans diverse industries and geographies, including Asia, Europe, and North America. She has a proven track record of helping US government clients and underperforming organizations achieve measurable results.

  • creating an executive-level benchmarking assessment and strategy for a premier regional technology association, advancing their AI, technology, and growth priorities
  • optimizing the structure, processes, and digital talent strategy for a newly established technology and innovation department within a US government organization
  • counseling senior leaders at a US government agency on a multiyear technology and innovation talent development plan, accelerating executive team performance and preparing for the future of work
