Since joining McKinsey & Company in 1995, Marcus has worked in more than 20 countries around the world, serving banks, private-equity firms, insurers, asset-management companies, and public-sector institutions on a wide range of topics.

Marcus has deep expertise in banking, covering multiple aspects of the business for all customer segments. He has led projects on group and business-unit strategy, comprehensive transformation programs, enterprise agility, distribution strategies, corporate governance, purchasing and back-office optimization as well as sales-force effectiveness and risk management.

Besides supporting leading financial institutions, Marcus serves three major private-equity firms. He helps lead the Banking Practice and leads recruiting in the entire Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. Marcus speaks German, English, and French.
