Helps players in the data center ecosystem deliver on unprecedented growth in scaling digital infrastructure and delivering capital projects faster and more affordably

Piotr is a partner and global leader in McKinsey’s data center and capital excellence work. He also leads the firm’s capex accelerator team. He serves hyperscalers, co-location players, contractors, OEMs, and power providers across the data center value chain, helping them scale capacity and deliver large-scale infrastructure solutions with greater speed and capital efficiency.

In addition, Piotr also serves infrastructure, telecommunications, life sciences, manufacturing, energy and materials, and engineering and construction sectors in the Americas, Asia, and EMEA.

Piotr’s client service experience includes:

  • leading a new business build effort for a North American player looking to set up their AI data center business unit from scratch and grow into gigawatt-scale by 2030
  • supporting a global data center co-location player in building best-in-class schedules, leveraging generative scheduling on hyperscaler and retail-focused data center builds across North America, Europe, and the Middle East
  • helping a North American developer reduce the data center build timeline from breaking ground to ready-for-service (RFS) milestone by over 25 percent versus the original plan, working with the developer and general contractor
  • identifying 10 to 20 percent capex reduction potential for a data center player for their capex portfolio, including savings from design optimization, site selection, procurement, and contracting
  • driving a two-year partnership with a North American chemicals company on a $3 billion greenfield project to accelerate reactor light-off by four months versus baseline by improving project delivery during construction (piping, electrical, and instrumentation) and commissioning
  • coleading a four-year partnership with a leading mining company to build a $5 billion copper project in South America. This work resulted in cost savings and risk mitigation worth $1 billion
  • supporting generative scheduling efforts across many asset classes, identifying significant schedule acceleration potential versus momentum case, including data centers, chemical plants, light rail transit, bridges, and life sciences plants

Piotr was based in Warsaw and Chicago before moving to Toronto in 2013.
