Sören leads McKinsey’s (Gen)AI Accelerator team globally, which helps clients capture business value by implementing business-backed (gen) AI solutions. Within this role, Sören leads next-generation operating model transformations, including large-scale capability-building programs for clients in the advanced industries sector. He focuses on digital and tech-enabled transformations within the service operations and R&D functions.

Examples of his recent client experience include:

  • designing and implementing a large-scale AI transformation for an OEM; implementing 15+ (cross-)functional (gen) AI initiatives and establishing a tech-enabled powerhouse to further drive the rollout of AI adoption across the entire company
  • building and growing a new digital/AI service business together with a leading tier-one supplier
  • developing a holistic tech-enabled transformation program for an automotive supplier, focused on improving indirect functions and R&D at several sites across EMEA and North America
  • supporting a solid-state battery company in the ramp-up of the new business, including target operating model, technology roadmap, industrialization concept, and supply chain
  • supporting an international BESS company in designing a cell and module sourcing strategy
  • designing and implementing a target operating model for a global automotive tier-one supplier for their COO function
  • leading a performance management transformation project in the OEM sector, focused on implementing a top-level performance-management system from CxO level to department heads
  • spearheading several lean transformation projects in the OEM and automotive supplier sector; coaching client change agents, as well as senior managers, as they adopted new ways of working
  • designing an operating-expenditures transformation project in the healthcare sector focused on the reduction of material losses by implementing new strategies and machine setup processes
